Low Voltage XLPE Power Cable Purpose:

It is applicable to the circuit with 0.6/1KV AC rated voltage and used for electric energy transmission and distribution. The flame-retardant power cable is applicable to situations where require flame-retarding. The fire-resistant power cable is applicable to high-rise buildings, megastores and other densely populated areas.

Low Voltage XLPE Power Cable Characteristics of Application:

The long-term allowable working temperature of cable conductor should not be more than 70℃
When short circuit occurs (the longest duration is not more than 5 seconds), the highest temperature of conductor cable should not be more than 160℃.
The ambient temperature during cable laying should not be lower than 0℃. Preheating should be done if the temperature is lower than 0℃
The minimum bending radius of armored multi-core cable should be not less than 12 times the cable outer diameter, while that of unarmored multi-core cable should be not less than 15 times the cable outer diameter.
The conductor DC resistance should comply with the provisions of GB/T3956-1997
Power frequency voltage withstand test: 5 U+2 KV/5 min not breakdown
Flame-retardant properties:
The flame-retardant cable should be able to withstand the bundles burning test required in GB/T18380.3-2001.
The Low-smoke and low-halogen flame-retardant cable should be able to withstand the bundles burning test required in GB/T18380.3-2001. Besides, the smoke density during burning should comply with the provisions in GB/T17651.1-1998. HCL content in the separated gas during burning should be not more than 100mg/g.
The Low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant cable should be able to withstand the bundles burning test required in GB/T18380.3-2001. Besides, the smoke density during burning should comply with the provisions in GB/T17651.1-1998. The water solution PH value of the separated gas during burning should be not less than 4.3, and the conductivity should be not more than 10 /mm.
The fire-resistant cable should be able to withstand the fire-resistant test required in GB12666.6-90.

Low Voltage XLPE Power Cable Cable Laying

The cable temperature should not be lower than 0℃ while laying. The cable should be preheated if the ambient temperature is lower than 0℃.
The bending radius of laying:
(1) For the unarmored single-core cable, it is not less than 20 times the outer diameter of cable; for the armored cable, it is not less than 15 times the outer diameter of cable.
(2) For the unarmored multi-core cable, it is not less than 15 times the outer diameter of cable; for the armored cable, it is not less than 12 times the outer diameter of cable.
3. After cable laying, the cable should stand the DC voltage withstand test of 15 minutes with 4 U test voltage.
